Seriously On the Road...

A concert in ROCKWALL, TX, OUR LADY OF THE LAKE...the very courageous Kelly C., youth minister extraordinaire... then an invite by Susan M, another youth minister extraordinaire to DENTON, TX, (where Lindsey lives) a concert for the students of IMMACULATE CONCEPTION school, then after the students provided holy pestering on their parents, we did a parish concert three days later! Very good strategy. Then off to ST. PATRICK, in DENISON, TX, where super-cool priest Fr. John is pastor, and spent the weekend with the church and SIR CURTIS STEPHAN. Participated in the weekend masses, the Edge, parish luncheon, LIFETEEN mass, and Life Night...went to the most awesome of hideaways; named very appropriately, HIDDEN MEADOWS. Mark and Dianne, along with the international man of danger and fishing/boating/LIFETEEN director Dan "Way to Go" Aedo, gave Curtis and I the fishing adventure of a lifetime. Non-stop fish jumping on our lures! ST. PATS delivers mojo.
Then off to PORTLAND, OR, with Rich Aguon. A quick and cool visit to our friend Kathy M. at NIKE....a company who has made some very recent and decent strides in getting its corporate act together regarding its factories in developing
countries. Then off to BEAVERTON, OR, ST PIUS X, where Carolyn T and company throw a two day faith formation bash of massive proportions. Ken Canedo joins in on these bash festivities with bass guitar thrashing, spoken word hashing, and sushi-frenzied smashing. We saw. We ate. Perpetrate and Masticate (masticate: to chew; to chomp; as in a Spam Romp)
Visited with the Allison Family (Cody is my godson), ate Hawaiian Poke, Rich barbequed, Betty, Natalie, Todd and I did serious food-tasting. St. Pius X for workshops, mass, concert and rally. Austin, St. Pius X music minister, joined us in concert and in rally. Austin delivers drum mojo. Support at St. Pius was huge! Jennifer was the CEO of my CDs and smiley face tee shirts; she was joined by Jo (of Mercy Corps International) who helped at the table and also answered questions about Mercy Corps Intn'l, of which I am a proud partner! Then off to DERIDDER, LOUSIANNA, the good folks of ST JOSEPH. Fr. Danny Torres, pastor, Miss Paula, the Director of the Culinary Institute of St. Joseph, the Dynamic Deacon Duo of Bob and Sumner, Miss Colleen, Perfect mom of Kelsey and Holden, Mr. Sammy, PhD in Landscape Mojo, Mr. Bill, Minister BBQ and of all Jack of all Trades, and Sr. Rita, RE Director and probably the power behind the power....all good folks who work in the fields of the Lord...a two night parish mission. Love you ST. JOSEPH! Then off to OGDENSBERG, NY. Sr. Rose, Director of Youth Ministries of the diocese, at the helm with the Holy Spirit.
An amazing concert in the cathedral, Friday night. Their new bishop, Bishop Cunningham, hung out for most of the concert. It was wild, crazy, faith-filled and holy. The next day was a concert/kenote for all the youth gathered for the day...GOT GOD? was the theme and they definitely Got God. Off to HOUSTON, TX, ST. LUKE THE EVANGELIST PARISH, Youth Director Joe Peabody and RE Director Marcia at the helm with the Holy Spirit. Two nights with Full, Conscious, Active participation as the theme. Got to hang out with Will, Joel, Angela, Mrs. Sanchez, Brad, Chris, Russ, Adriana, and other very cool young adults....Joe picked me up at the hotel at 5:15 in the morning! His family, Loan, Sophie, and Edward were generous in sharing him with me for the two days. Lots of love at St. Luke.
Then home. Into the arms of me fam'ly. Ahhhh....Sweet God, you were there every moment. You are here every moment. Thank you.
