"To Do Justice....is to know God."

I just spent an evening with the Catherine's Center, a community of Sisters of Mercy and St. Vincent de Paul...a group of compassionate women and men, reaching out to women recently released from jail. The Catherine's Center is a place where everyone gets transformed. Not just the women coming out of jail, but the women and men who are blessed to know them and walk with them. This was my second visit with them to celebrate their second year of doing and living justice. www.svdp.org/sanmateo/catherinescenter. I recommend to anyone who is searching for connection; searching for God's transforming presence, to seek out the people and places working in justice oriented communities. I believe with all my heart, that is where the gospel calls us ultimately. To the poor, to the least, to the forgotten and the outcast. It's a given that you will not be famous for it, but you will live a life worth living, and beyond any doubt, you will know God! May all we do in the name of faith and all things religious, lead us to do justice. Love, Jesse
