Judy Duncan, all around music maker and friend of young people, invited me to sing at the parish kick-off for Religious Ed. I told Judy, "Mind if I try to capture the concert on video?" She said "yes," and Bob Cannon from Bob from Bob Cannon Productions, got three cameras together and recorded the whole darn thing. It was a regular concert, and folks from St. Philip as well as Holy Family, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Thomas Aquinas and others attended the concert and are now quite possibly immortalized on the first JESSE in concert on DVD....
...At the very least, I'm hoping to get a gread demo-DVD to help folks convey a little better with some footage of me in action, speaking, joking, prayiing, laughing, playing, and just being the undercover catechist and Catholic Ninja that I am. Have no idea what got on to tape, but Bob has reassured me that he captured some pretty cool stuff. Might even be able to make a CD too! We'll have to see. I'm hoping to record a live concert with a few of my friends in California. Don't know if I'll be able to pull off the whole band thing, buy my friend John Flaherty and I are talking about my dream of a DVD entitled "JESSE LIVE; Songs and Stories." Although I am allergic to recording CDs or DVDs, I know that folks are asking for more stuff. Keep praying because I'm going to put it off for as long as I can. At any rate, Judy got the word out and before you know it, St. Philip the Apostle has a nice sized crowd and the concert is up and running. Keep checking the website for a release date, and get ready to pass the word.
